Bitway (BTW) is our pick for the week, after an explosive rally that pushed the token roughly 90% higher over the past seven days. The move has been supported by a new staking incentive, rising derivatives activity, and strong speculative interest around the project’s expanding yield ecosystem.
BTW began the week near the $0.18-$0.20 region before accelerating higher and briefly trading above $0.40 on August 17. Although the token has since pulled back to around $0.35, it continues to trade well above its levels from the start of the week.

Momentum indicators also show how quickly conditions changed. The RSI briefly moved into overbought territory during the rally before cooling toward neutral levels, while the MACD has weakened following the sharp upside move. This suggests that while some short-term momentum has faded, BTW is now consolidating after an unusually strong run rather than giving back the entire rally.
One of the biggest catalysts arrived on August 13, when Bitway launched an incentivized staking program offering an 8% base APR paid in USDT, alongside an additional 4% reward in BW Points.
The campaign is scheduled to run through September 1, 2026, creating an incentive for holders to lock capital within the Bitway ecosystem. The combination of USDT-denominated yield and bonus rewards has helped attract attention from investors seeking yield opportunities.
The program also fits into Bitway’s broader push to connect idle on-chain liquidity with yield-generating products through its DeTraFi model.
The rally has also been accompanied by a sharp rise in leveraged trading activity. Aggregated open interest climbed from roughly $40 million earlier in the period to more than $109 million, indicating a substantial increase in outstanding BTW derivatives positions.

Funding rates remained positive throughout much of the rally and currently sit around 0.0512, showing that bullish positioning has remained dominant, although funding has cooled considerably from its recent peak.
The one-week liquidation heatmap highlights sizable liquidity concentrations around BTW’s recent trading range. A particularly strong cluster developed around the mid-$0.30 region, while additional liquidity remains positioned above the market toward approximately $0.45–$0.50.

These concentrations can become important areas to watch because rapid price moves toward heavily leveraged zones may trigger liquidations and amplify volatility.
